So, what is it like for Elizabeth Olsen to work with the former director of Spider-Man, Sam Raimi?
Well, she has shared her thoughts pertaining to her experience up until now of working with Sam Raimi, who is not only famous for directing Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire, but also the Evil Dead franchise, which had starred Bruce Campbell in the leading role.
Elizabeth Olsen, known for her role of Wanda Maximoff in the MCU and of Marie Sebastian in the 2013 film Oldboy, has recently talked to Collider about her involvement in the upcoming sequel of Benedict Cumberbatch starrer 2016 film “Doctor Strange.” She revealed in the interview that she is having a lot of fun while working alongside Sam Raimi.
She is going to collaborate with a lot of people in the Doctor Strange sequel, and one of them is Sam Raimi. The Doctor Strange sequel titled “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” currently has a release date of March the 25th, 2022.
It is a well-known fact that Phase 4 of Marvel Cinematic Universe will be heavily centered on the multiverse theory (which was already teased in the first Doctor Strange film). And now we also know that Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff will have a big part in the multiverse shenanigans.
What also needs to be stated is the fact that the recently released Olsen and Paul Bettany starrer “WandaVision” will be directly related to the upcoming 2022 film. Olsen’s fans are quite excited with the fact that the two Olsen starrer projects will construct the entire future of MCU Phase 4.
Olsen explained in the interview that Raimi has been very friendly while working, and she loves the fact that he has employed a “playful” way of making it all work.
The production, however, has come to a halt due to the lockdown, which has been imposed in the wake of the new strain of the virus.
Though the fans of 2016 were left shocked by the exit of Scott Derrickson from the franchise, who in fact did a good job in the first film, they were pleased with the fact that the veteran horror film director Sam Raimi has stepped into his shoes.
And Elizabeth Olsen’s recent comments would please them even more as she has revealed that Raimi seemed to her as an extroverted chilled man on the set. She added that Raimi loves to do bits with his camera a lot (she also recently alluded to the fact that the upcoming film might have some horror elements as well).
Fans are now hoping that the film should have the director’s signature camera move (protagonist’s point of view). As we know, the veteran director extensively employed the move in the Evil Dead franchise.
Olsen explained to Collider that apart from being energetic and fun, Sam Raimi also allows other people to discover new things. She further added that Sam Raimi is someone who loves paying attention to details and being creative with the camera.
She concluded her statement by saying that it has been a fun ride up until now.
