The anticipation from fans has increased ten-folds, and the movie does have some high expectations to counter as the first look of the upcoming tentpole “Godzilla Vs. Kong” had dropped a bombshell last Sunday. The trailer does contain some legendary battle scenes, and you can check it out for yourself as it is available on the internet—just type “Godzilla Vs. The movie will be a combined production of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, which further puts the upcoming flick on the fringes of becoming the first mega-hit of 2021.
Now, if you have seen the trailer, you would know that it does offers some clues on what might unfold in the upcoming flick. The trailer reintroduces us to King Kong, who has been brought from his obscure abode and has been chained by the humans. The trailer also introduces us to his protectors, including a little girl who can communicate with him. The protectors and caretakers of King Kong want to give him his real home.
The trailer closely explores a child named Jia, who is believed to be the only one that can talk to King Kong. The trailer shows that Kong loves her and has taken it upon himself to protect her. The trailer shows them to be finger touching and shows that Jia has even gifted him a special Kong doll.
However, the protector’s search for King Kong’s real home gets a little complex when the King of Monsters “Godzilla” enters the foray. The trailer shows that the king is angry and is hurting people. The trailer reveals that the protagonist’s Madison Russell (played by Millie Bobby Brown) and Maya Simmons (played by Eiza Gonzalez) being worried about Godzilla’s rampage and the fact that something or someone is invoking him to cause mayhem across cities, which ironically, he has protected in previous films.
The trailer shows the monster duo immediately going for each other’s throat the moment Kong delivers a nasty right arm hook.
The fans have written down in the comments that the fight promises to be awesome.
“Godzilla Vs. Kong” will be a directorial venture of Adam Wingard, who has also directed the TV series “Death Note” available right now on Netflix.
“Godzilla Vs. Kong” will mark the fourth film of the monster verse created by Warner Bros. The other films are Godzilla (released in 2014), Kong: Skull Island (released in 2017), Godzilla: King of Monsters (released in 2019).
