In his latest interview, the director of the upcoming Jurassic Park film Colin Trevorrow has talked about his directorial venture in his latest interview with Entertainment Weekly. In the interview, he has revealed that the upcoming film titled “Jurassic World: Dominion” will be both a celebration of the franchise and the best film of the franchise.
The upcoming Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starrer currently have the scheduled release date of June 10, 2022.
Trevorrow’s interview has come while the ensuing season of the show “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” has arrived on Netflix. Trevorrow has said in the interview that the upcoming film will celebrate the entirety of the franchise and will prove to be the best film of the franchise when it gets released in 2022.
He also said in the interview that there was a stark contrast between the trilogy that was directed by Steven Spielberg and the one he is venturing about right now. He said that unlike the former, his films are relayed in a sequential fashion, and when people would finally be able to see the third film “Jurassic World: Dominion,” they would be able to correlate with the preceding films, and they would be able to finally understand what the whole saga was all about.
He also expressed his wish that whenever parents wish to show their kids some Jurassic films, they should buy the whole film set consisting of all the six films because only then would the kids get the feelings and emotions of the complete saga.
He also added that the way dinosaur-related stories are being made had seen a paradigm shift from the way they were used to be made in the past. He explained that the contemporary Jurassic Park film offers a chance for individual-specific films where there are people you can relate to. He stated that the film showing a bunch of groups at an island where they are hunted by the dinosaurs would no longer work. He added that his intention with Jurassic World was always to cinematically show a world where animals and humans can coexist.
The upcoming film will be a continuation of the events relayed in the 2018 film “Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.” The ensemble cast of the film would include some familiar faces and some fresh ones. Most importantly, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern will return to the franchise. Of course, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be the primary lead of the cast.
Apart from the above-mentioned names, Justice Smith, Jake Johnson, Daniella Pineda, Omar Sy, Scott Haze, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, and Mamoudou Athie will form the ensemble cast of the film.
The plotline of the film has not been revealed yet, but the climax of Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom did reveal that the dinosaur has now come out of the cages and are in the human world where they would hunt them like apex predators.
The 2015 film Jurassic World was a blockbuster film and was heavily raved by critics. The sequel Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom was a bit underwhelming but gave a promise for the spectacular conclusion in the third installment.
