Christopher Nolan Wants to Make Another Batman Movie

And we are glad that the outcome of Tenet has made him reconsider some things.

However, you must know the fact that this is just a rumor.

Anyway, I am glad to let you know that there is another rumor doing the rounds of the internet that Michael Keaton is in talks with DC Studios and Warner Bros. to replace Ben Affleck as the Batman in the DCEU. And, while it is true that it is impossible to verify all of these rumors, they are worthy of speculations.

Along with Michael Keaton, Christopher Nolan has once again appeared in the rumor circles on the internet that he is now interested in directing another Batman movie.

The veteran filmmaker recently released a film in August, “Tenet,” which massively underperformed in the theaters as per the expectations even if we are considering pandemic restrictions and soon after, he hit back at Warner Bros. after they made a decision of releasing all of their upcoming films on HBO Max. Christopher Nolan and other high profile directors like Denis Villeneuve fear that if these streaming giants continue to develop their business models at an exponential rate, then the theater industry would suffer. Christopher Nolan criticized Warner Bros. for helping out “a fledgling” streaming service while jeopardizing the future of the theater industry and the effort of those who are trying to save it.

On the other hand, Liana Keane of the website called “Giant Freakin Robot,” the media outlet that first revealed that the DCEU tentpole Wonder Woman 1984 is going to have a dual release, has now made a big revelation that Christopher Nolan is considering a Caped Crusader movie. The report has arrived courtesy of their source; however, they were unable to confirm which Batman movie Christopher Nolan is considering to give a shot.

The source has added that the underperformance of a film he had worked on for twenty years has made him reconsider his decision to leave the Batman genre forever. And, if the words of Keane’s source are true, then Christopher Nolan is on his way to change his mind regarding Batman.

And, that’s about it.

There is nothing further to say on this topic. Perhaps, we will know more about it in the future. However, considering the portfolio of the director, I believe he will not take the underperformance of Batman lightly.

Nevertheless, an iconic version of Batman will make an appearance in theaters in March of next year. Matt Reeves, Robert Pattinson, and the company are currently busy with the productions of The Batman, which have been halted plenty of times in the past because of the COVID.

Christopher Nolan will certainly be welcomed by Warner Bros. and DC studios for the Batman film, even if it is a solo one and despite his seething remarks on them. He has given three world-class Batman films and sort of pulled the character from a string of failure. Batman Begins was a splendid upgrade to the 1997 flick Batman & Robin.

Now, when people talk about Nolan’s time with Batman, they do not need to mention the amount of money his films have made as everybody knows how good they were. His second Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” is arguably his magnum opus and is easily in the top 10 list of best crime thriller films ever made in Hollywood.
