We all know about the conflict that Christopher Nolan has with Warner Media. And, we also know that the conflict is deep. On the one hand, we have Christopher Nolan, who is all about the theater industry. He cares about films and the platform on which they should be seen. On the other hand, we have Warner Media, who cannot sustain without profit, and in these ongoing times of uncertainty, they have chosen their streaming platform, HBO Max, as their money maker.

Now, as things stand, the relationship between Christopher and Warner Media is sour, to say the least, if non-existent. And that means Christopher Nolan is free to be employed, and according to Observer.com, it has caused a massive bidding war in the fraternity of Hollywood.
Christopher Nolan is not somebody you can find every day. He has a rare capability of embedding cinematic themes with high-concept ideas and throwing a regular film into the soaring heights of popularity, which soon attains cult status years after its release.
Christopher Nolan has delivered masterpieces after masterpieces under the banner of Warner Bros., which includes films like The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and Dunkirk. You can also include Tenet in that list if you wish.
However, now it seems inevitable that he is now open to be employed in the Hollywood market.
The cause of the rift between Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. has been ascribed to Warner Media’s decision to release all of its forthcoming films in theaters and on HBO Max. When Nolan heard about it, he lost all of his sense of composure, patience, and diplomacy and outright called HBO Max a “worst streaming service” that is out there. He also heavily criticized Warner Media for their irresponsible leadership.
Regardless of what Christopher Nolan has achieved with Warner Bros, they will not have taken the comments lightly. And Christopher Nolan really doesn’t want them to as he offered no apologies and has not taken his words back. He knew what he was doing when he went out against them.
Now, the real question is, what is next?
If the words of the former employee of Lionsgate Matthew Bakal are taken into consideration, then all the fans of Nolan can rest assured that there are studios that are looking for him.
And even so, David Offenberg, who is a professional expert in Entertainment financing, has limited Nolan’s option because of his persistent demand for full creative control and the kind of films he makes. I mean to say, his new production partners have to check whether they can afford his films or not. He had all the systems in place at WarnerMedia, and now at a new studio, he will have to start all over again.
Of course, he also has Paramount at his disposal with whom he did create the 2014 space adventure blockbuster “Interstellar.”
We also have to keep in mind that Nolan’s deeply embedded love for the theater movies will not allow him for a streaming service compromise, which certain studios will demand.
However, as far as his fans are concerned, they frankly do not care less. As long as theaters are working, and there is a Christopher Nolan film going on, they will opt to just watch it.
This is an entirely new situation for Christopher Nolan, and we will see how he handles it. As far as the theater industry is concerned, the entire future is dependent on vaccine allocation and how the public handles it.
